Entry Requirements for Indian Passport Holders

Indian passport holders need a UK Standard Visitor visa for tourism, family visits and business meetings. You apply online on GOV.UK and give biometrics at a VFS Global centre. Since 25 February 2026 successful applicants receive a digital eVisa linked to their UKVI account instead of a passport sticker.

Accommodation details / hotel booking and travel itinerary
Invitation letter from UK host with their passport / BRP / eVisa status and address proof (if visiting family or friends)
If sponsored by a family member: sponsorship letter, proof of relationship and the sponsor's bank statements and ITR
Previous UK / US / Schengen visas (if any)

Indian company registration proof (Certificate of Incorporation / GST registration) and last 6 months' company bank statement
Bank statements for the last 6 months
Income Tax Return acknowledgements (ITR-V) for the last 3 assessment years, or Form 16
Last 3 months' salary slips
Hotel booking and travel itinerary

Create and link your UKVI account after approval and carry your eVisa share code when you travel.
The UK ETA does not apply to Indian passport holders — a visa is required.
Paid work and studying longer than 6 months are not permitted on a visitor visa.
