Thailand's cool season (November to February) offers the most pleasant weather for sightseeing in Bangkok, Chiang Mai and the southern islands, making it the peak season for Indian tourists.
The hot season (March-June) and monsoon season (July-October) see fewer crowds and lower prices, ideal for budget travellers who don't mind occasional rain showers.
Indian passport holders can visit Thailand visa-free — from 15 September 2026 the permitted stay is 30 days (it was previously 60 days). Every traveller must submit the free Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) online within 72 hours before arrival and should carry a return ticket, hotel bookings and proof of funds. For stays longer than 30 days, apply for a Thai e-Visa in advance.
